Smoke from Canadian Fort MacMurray Wildfires Visible from Space

Fires are common in the boreal forests of Canada, but I don't recall one like this ever in May. Climate change is being blamed, but this is an El Niño year and weather patters and rain fall have shifted.  A dry winter and warm spring, along with poor forest policy, set up conditions for this fire.

Prayers and best wishes to those affected by this fire.
