Almost missed that article this AM. Glad I didn't. It's great!
Make Classical Liberalism great again (not that sick twisted version of the word leftists and Democrats use, or the populist demagoguery that some on the right rely on).
You Trump backers are dishonest shills praying at the altar of a false god. You are fine with populist authoritarianism so long as you believe it is you who will benefit from the king’s beneficence. You are, in short, Obama voters with Rs attached to your names. You are the problem.Oh fuck off (And I used to read his blog regularly up until he "disappeared" for years).
I have to agree with Jeff to a point. Those claiming Cruz is being dishonest by doing what the rules stated are assholes. I get it though, this is the primary. This is the chance to back who you really want, not hold your nose to vote for the lesser of two evils in the general. I've done that for Dole, McCain, and Romney. I can't say there was really better alternatives actually running against Bush in 2000.For the most part though, I've checked out of the primary season. My vote was cast awhile back, and the rest of this is silly season. I'm no fan of Trump, but I'll vote for him in the general. There's no way I'm going to sit at home and let Hillary or Sanders take office. Hillary is a criminal. Sanders is a vowed Socialist. The complaints I have regarding Trump mostly could be said about McCain. Except Trump scares the hell out of big government supporters. 4 to 8 years of stripping President Trump of power would be just fine by me. Hopefully Congress will get rid of its misguided idea of letting bureaucrats figure out the finer parts of outlined laws. The only never for me was Jeb, but if the nation was deluded enough to put up Clinton vs Bush; I still would head to the polls to keep Hillary out of office.
