In retrospect, the blacklist was one of the smartest things we did in the late 40s (after all, how many pro-Nazi moviemakers were allowed to get their message out in WWII?). The 20 years Commie propaganda was not allowed in this country helped insure we won the cold War.
As soon as the blacklist was lifted, the Lefties ran wild.
