Songs Frank Sinatra Never Sang with bonus Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan

We just have to imagine what if, it is curious and sad there are no Sinatra versions of some of these songs. Fortunately (being a glass is half full of milk sort of cow) there are quite a number of songs Frank Sinatra did sing and record.

This Cole Porter masterpiece is definitely worth a few covers and I love the very different versions and interpretations that Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan do with this song:

This week Mark Steyn has You Make Me Feel So Young and I get along without you very well
Bob starts this week off with It Had To Be You
Pundette has Always

I belatedly remembered Dean Martin's birthday and also had this Sinatra/Hoagy Carmichael heartbreaker (which is also Mark's song this week)

Don’t forget to also keep checking out
Pundette’s Sinatra 100 countdown,
Ms Evi’s Sinatra Celebration,
Dispatches from the Camp of the Saints Sinatra, &
Mark Steyn’s Sinatra Songs Of The Century.
It’s a swingin’ world.

  1. I read he was offered a chance to cover "Scotch And Soda", but turned it down, saying nobody could top Bob Shane.
