Separated at Birth: Typhoid Mary and …?

Cook "Typhoid Mary"Mallon…
Ebola Nurse Kaci Hickox

Okay, Kaci Hickox probably doesn't have ebola.  But is it possible she is infected? Dr. Craig Spencer did not think he was infected either.

Typhoid Mary definitely was an asymptomatic carrier for typhoid and spread it over the years.

Having visited Newark, I could certainly appreciate why Ms. Hickox wanted to leave New Jersey, but refusing to home self quarantine in Maine is reckless on her part given the risks (and recent cases of medical providers testing positive weeks after exposure).  This seems just a tad irresponsible on her part.

The grim future if ebola goes global.

  1. And they call Baby Boomers the Me Generation?

  2. Well, they did raise this generation.

  3. We have one - one - case of ebola in this country.

    White people love hysteria.

And you criticised "never let a crisis go to waste," huh"?

America is a deeply immoral place,...

    1. Well, we had one death from ebola in this country. That one patient transmitted ebola to two medical providers (which should give anyone pause, since it happened in a modern hospital in Dallas). We had four confirmed but unexpected cases (not counting those medical providers who were sent back for treatment specifically). Frankly I do not see a lot of hysteria at all. I see concern on how it was handled by the CDC. And we are sending troops to West Africa to assist in treating ebola patients there. But hey, America must be a deeply immoral place for doing that...
