Derek Jeter gets a walk off home run hit in the last game at Yankee Stadium


Congratulations to Derek Jeter [okay a RBI, but still good]



I can't believe I am even saying this, but too bad the Yankees are not going to the playoffs this year.

    "Walk-off home run"? It was a single thru the 1b-2b hole. Right where about 80% of Jeter's hits have ever gone.

    In a game that had no meaning at all, except that it was the last home game for Captain Ring-Bringer. Of course, if Girardi hadn't used a weak-hitting, no-glove senior citizen at SS all year, the game might have had some significance for a playoff berth.
