Trey Gowdy questions IRS Commissioner John Koskinen about spoliation of evidence

  1. We need to give Mr Koskinen the Ritmo award for deceptive rhetoric. Both are smart, both dissemble more than necessary. I'd bet Koskinen is paid far better for his trouble. I wish Ritmo would just get real as he perpetually demands of others...however, I'd miss him if he disappeared.

    Hi Ritmo....waving hand furiously!

    1. I occasionally try to engage Ritmo in honest debate, which rarely works, but I do find sparing with him fun (occasionally).

  2. I may be the only righty who doesn't find this sort of questioning effective. What I'd like to see is a calm, step-by-step walk-through of the timeline concerning the events in question. IOW, questions like, on the day that Lerner's hard drive crashed, what backups were available? Who made the decision to terminate the contract for email storage, and why? When the prez demanded a full investigation, what did you do that day and subsequent days, and what steps did you take to monitor the progress of the investigation?

And so forth. This guy isn't going to break down under interrogation like some wobbly witness, bc he knows the DOJ has his back.

    1. He is not the right witness for that (he does not have knowledge of what happened because he was not at the IRS then). But I agree, that is what needs to be done. Lehrner refused to do so. So they need to systematically go through the mangers who had responsibility.

    2. I agree he is not the right witness, he is merely the stooge appointed to be the"cleaner." I will admit, however, to a perverse pleasure in watching him "perform" like the one trick pony he absolutely is in fact. He is the classic aparatchik. Bar none.

  3. When they try to tell you the hard drive just "crashed" like a dirigible in the 30s, they shoot themselves right there.

You get all kinds of weird behavior tech support will catch.
