Why the Yellowstone Caldera erupting would be a very bad thing…

  1. Krakatoa (I don't do the new spellings) is probably the best indicator.

It affected weather (and sunsets) for several years.

    1. Tambora effects were more profound than Krakatoa. Young Joseph Smith was in Vermont at the time and the "Year without Summer" made an impression on him. His family ended up giving up their Vermont farm and moving to Palmyra, New York. Ever wonder why Mormons are encouraged to store two years worth of food?

  2. Yellowstone goes boom? Assume the position, bend over head between your knees and kiss your ass good by. Also known as the Polish Air Raid Shelter.
