I lot of finance people have walked out of open windows around the world in the last year or so, too.
Kind of reminds me of some of Heinlein's later works, in which a lot of the worst things that happen in the world are because the board members of Coke have started a clandestine war with each other. (I don't think it was Coca-Cola in the book, Friday perhaps, but the company that had bought Coca-Cola. When Seattle got nuked it put a whole new spin on cola wars.)
