S.Sgt. Bill Guarnere, April 28, 1923 – March 8, 2014 |
A non-commissioned officer with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during World War II. He earned a Silver and two Bronze Stars, as well as two Purple Hearts. RIP.
He was a hero and a patriot. Thank you.
Update:
Lem's has a good post on Wild Bill's passing.
Actually, they still make 'em like that, but we're not supposed to be proud of them.
