J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuarón made this. It has been getting bad reviews. Some of the criticism is warranted (it is cliched) but so what? I was not expecting Game of Thrones or True Detective. Given the quality of a lot of network shows, this one seemed okay with me. I agree it better tighten its writing a bit, but I will give it a shot.
What should get the bad review is the review.

Didn't watch and probably won't, because I don't really need another show to watch. I will say that having Alfonso Cauron as creator repulses rather than attracts my interest. I thought Gravity was horrible, including the graphics (exception, the spacecraft interiors were well done, but what ever planet they were orbiting wasn't earth). The story in Gravity reminded me of the Friday the 13th franchise. People died because that was the drama in the movie needed them to die, but the deaths gave nothing because you had no reason to care for the people who died. At best, they did stupid things like yank their only tether to safety. And I haven't even touched on the technical faults.
ReplyDeleteSorry Evi, I just can't believe.
I did not see Gravity yet (it is waiting on the Netflix queue).
