Richard Sherman's Trash Talk

This is mildly entertaining (only because post game stuff is generally boring), but it was not a particularly smart move on Richard Sherman's part (in the modern NFL you never know which team you may end up on next season and with what other players).  Best not to jump on camera to give trash talk to the other team (although it is not like the 49ers are saints in this regard).  This "interview" is also just a minute or two after a very difficult physical game (with two teams that really do despise one another), so it is what it is.  It is a mistake, but a small one, provided it does not become an ongoing thing.

I like Russell Wilson because he is a great young player and he has shown himself to be a class act.  Wilson had some big plays, but he struggled today (starting with that opening fumble).  Wilson has been struggling for the past couple of weeks. He and the Seahawks are going to have a tough enough time with Peyton Manning and the Broncos than to get distracted with the media attention that comes from being in the Super Bowl.  I hope Pete Carroll can talk to Sherman and advise him that it is no longer about the 49ers, but about how the Seahawks do in the Meadowlands against the Broncos.

Update:
More from Sherman. Alrighty then.
There are two sides to these things...

  1. Richard Sherman was second in his HS class in Compton and graduated from Stanford.

With a degree in, um, Communications.
