“What Chirlane and Bill bring is the image of . . .” He trailed off, squinting. 
“How do I put this? It’s that image of a modern New York. And I’m not just talking about the interracial thing.”

OMG: Bill de Blasio is a Red Sox fan?
He also managed Hillary Clinton's New York Senate Campaign and supported the Sandinistas in Nicaragua... [well at least he is consistent]

PUTTING TOGETHER A FILM FESTIVAL IN HONOR OF DE BLASIO’S ELECTION AS MAYOR OF NEW YORK. So far I’m planning to show Death Wish, Taxi Driver, Fort Apache, the Bronx, and Escape From New York. And maybe Serpico. Any other suggestions? . . .
