Link won't open for me...takes me to Google+ which I have steadfastly refused to join, agree to, or otherwise participate. I use Google for Googling, and of course Blogger. Do. Not. Need. Any. Extras. TYVM. May they ESAD otherwise.
AS for quiet snowmobiles, I love them. When I had snowmobiles they were noisy and obnoxious, so much I grew to hate them and sold mine. The 4 cycle version, with muffler that worked, in those days cost $20K and that wasn't in my budget. No idea what they cost today, suspect it's down quite a bit.
Anyway there is no reason a snowmobile should make more noise than an Abrams M1A Tank. There should be a substantial bounty on any snowmobile louder than the family sedan when new. Same for ATV's.

Link fixed! And I agree, silent snow mobiles are better, but you have to be careful not to run into people (you do not hear them coming anymore).
