I am no fan of dependent states on U.S. foreign aid, unless it is in the best interest of the United States to do that (sometimes it is). But it is beyond odd for the Obama Administration to continue to give military aid to Egypt during the Morsi/Muslim Brotherhood period (when things there got considerably worse) and when the Egyptian Military acts when the largest protest in world history takes place in Egypt demanding the ouster of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, decide that we are going to cut off aid.
This does not help our friends, it looks like a betrayal, and it absolutely strengthens the position of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. This is how to alienate friends and promote enemies. And John McCain needs to be escorted back to his assisted living facility.

Blackmail or brainwash?
For all the talk of a military coup; it was actually a bloodless coup that took Morsi out of office. After he was removed from office, the Muslim Brotherhood started bloody riots.
