A lovely and fascinating woman with an unfortunate name, although why didn't she go with Imogene?
Ms. Ima was referred to as the First Lady of Texas. So she is a Rule 5 this week.
A famous Texan! |
She was the only girl in the family and she did not have a sister named Yura...
She cared about the well being of all. |
She never married but reportedly had 30 marriage proposals
Bayou Bend, her former home and now museum |
Didn't see this before.
ReplyDeleteFrom what little I've read of her, Miss Hogg was, as one of the links alludes, one of those Southern maiden ladies perennially referred to as "Miss ...", for her many good works and good character.
She was well loved by all who knew her. And yes, she went by Miss Ima during her entire life.
