A tick that creates an allergy to red meat?

The Lone Star Tick's bite makes you allergic to red meat...

I have mixed feeling about this.  My friend Zilla suffers from Lyme Disease, so I do not want to make light of tick bites.  They can be devastating.  They do not get enough attention. Yet an allergy to red meat does not seem so bad if you are a cow.
