Pretty amazing video of a glacier/ice bridge calving in Argentina. This particular glacier moves back and forth, periodically bisecting the lake in the video.
A this glacier is a smaller version of the ice dam that once existed in what is now Idaho/Montana. Now consider what it must have looked like when that ice dam on the Lower Clark Fork burst and released in a matter of days a great lake equivalent volume of water into the Columbia River drainage.
