Women Talking



It is loosely based on an event where Mennonite women were raped in a Bolivian "Manitoba" colony under the premise they were attacked by spirits, but really raped by men of the colony who drugged them. The movie appears to be set somewhere in North America, but then makes reference to the Southern Cross. Let's just say it ain't Witness. 

THR: Women Talking? God damn. It should have just been a play. I couldn’t get into it. It felt like homework.
