I have been watching The Romanoffs, which is a modern set fictional series by Matthew Weiner about people who claim they are decedents from that family. But the Romanoffs are not the only royal line who ended up on the wrong side of revolutionary history. Louis XVI and his queen Marie-Antoinette aka Maria Antonia Josepha Joanna also experienced a similar downturn (she was executed nine months after her husband).
