Remember that event well and the song always brought back memories. Was a teenager at the time and the Duluth tv stations had constant coverage since the voyage started there (actually out of Superior, Wisconsin--they are twin ports). Everybody was pretty much in shock at the news.
This version is still my favorite version. I still choke up during that one part. Brava for remembering, Evi.
