How is the Hamas Day of Rage going?

Hamas and its supporters: How dare you protest raping Israeli women and killing children? Hamas has that right under sharia! We will kill every Jew. We will kill the Nazarenes (Christians), Hindus, atheists, and pagans. We also will kill any Muslim who disagree with our take on this.

Newsom and the Biden Administration could have arrested and deported depraved DePape 🤯 Gavin is also Paul Pelosi's nephew 🤯

David DePape is a deranged illegal Canadian (who is also accused by his step daughter of molesting her and DePape's own biological sons). DePape's ex partner is currently in prison for trying to abduct a 14 year old boy. What I did not know is Gavin Newsom is Paul Pelosi's nephew (via marriage). When it comes to policy, however, Pelosi and Newsom might as well be joined at the hip.

DePape is hardly the first crazy illegal to go on a violent rampage. If California Democrats excercised some discretion and arrested and deported illegal lunatics such as DePape, this attack wouldn't have happened. Democrats can blame themselves for ruining a beautiful city and making it an insane hellhole. That is the real crazy part.

The Return of Protein Wisdom ☣️💉🥃

I am surprised Jeff Goldstein lasted as long as he did on Twitter. It was a poor platform for him (not because of Jeff, but because of Twitter). I am glad he is back to blogging. #FreeJeff

Deborah Ellen Frisch and the Violence and Hypocrisy of the Left

Deborah Ellen Frisch is mentally unstable and potentially very dangerous  From her days of threatening Jeff Goldstein's family, she has had serial run-ins with the law. Deb Frisch was on the lam, with felony warrants against herThe Other McCain reports:
Deborah Ellen Frisch has reportedly fled Colorado, and she is believed to be in either Oregon or California. It has also been reported that she is no longer taking the medications prescribed for her mental illness.
Frisch is 5-foot-7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She was last seen driving a blue Subaru Impreza. We are seeking the public’s help to bring this fugitive to justice. Please post this to your Facebook page or Twitter account, especially if you are in California or Oregon. It’s time this deranged criminal is locked up where she belongs. If you see Frisch, do not approach her. Call 911. You can also share information with Jeff Goldstein on Twitter at @proteinwisdom.
Fortunately she was arrested and it appears no one was hurt.

The Ongoing Cultural Revolution at The Evergreen State College

This insanity with language was predicted long ago by a few voices, now we are seeing the chickens come home to roost. Watch the whole thing.

It's the underlying hysteria single mindedness that's so chilling. Granted it is a tiny microcosm at TESC, but isn't this same sort of thinking that ultimately led to horrors of the French Revolution, under almost all Communist regimes, and of course with militant Imperial Japan and the Third Reich during WWII? These students want to "weed out" those they disagree with.

These are excellent links.  Gramscian tries to link to Jeff Goldstein, but Protein Wisdom's site has never recovered from when it was hacked.

And while we recognize Soviets, Nazis and Islamists engaging in propaganda, don't forget the propaganda from the left regarding environmental, feminism, and gay/transgender issues.

A modest proposal...

Most people don't associate classical liberalism with Richard Brautigan, but Jeff makes it work.

This is an excellent and well stated post. The reason we are faced with the choices we have now is due to the GOP straying so far from the principles laid out by Jeff Goldstein above.

We need more Milton Friedman too

The causes are numerous, political, social, and a general erosion of education are to blame. These are basic fundamental principles and should be taught in grammar and high school civics classes.  If you really want to make America great again, these are the fundamentals that we need to return to. I recommend you read it.

Jeff Goldstein on the potential good, but the mostly bad of the John Roberts Obamacare decision...And why Senator Barack Obama was right to vote no on John Robert's nomination to the Supreme Court.

ht:  sdferr

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind Judge Roberts is qualified to sit on the highest court in the land. Moreover, he seems to have the comportment and the temperament that makes for a good judge…
The problem I face… is that while adherence to legal precedent and rules of statutory or constitutional construction will dispose of 95 percent of the cases that come before a court, so that both a Scalia and a Ginsburg will arrive at the same place most of the time on those 95 percent of the cases — what matters on the Supreme Court is those 5 percent of cases that are truly difficult….
The problem I had is that when I examined Judge Roberts’ record and history of public service, it is my personal estimation that he has far more often used his formidable skills on behalf of the strong in opposition to the weak….
I want to take Judge Roberts at his word that he doesn’t like bullies and he sees the law and the Court as a means of evening the playing field between the strong and the weak. But given the gravity of the position to which he will undoubtedly ascend and the gravity of the decisions in which he will undoubtedly participate during his tenure on the Court, I ultimately have to give more weight to his deeds and the overarching political philosophy that he appears to have shared with those in power than to the assuring words that he provided me in our meeting.
The bottom line is this: I will be voting against John Roberts’ nomination. I do so with considerable reticence. I hope that I am wrong. I hope that this reticence on my part proves unjustified and that Judge Roberts will show himself to not only be an outstanding legal thinker but also someone who upholds the Court’s historic role as a check on the majoritarian impulses of the executive branch and the legislative branch.

A Republican candidate and his establishment GOP supporters chase Newt Gingrich...

Déjà vu

"The creature was a party of boys, marching..."

Prior Posts:
What goes around comes around... (Do you remember what Newt was doing just a few weeks ago?)
Romney claims Newt was not a Reagan supporter...  (Mitt obviously took Smitty's advice...a bit too much)

The Conservative Choice:

This has become an interesting topic — especially now that I see support among many of our conservative opinion leaders moving toward Romney — even as many of these same opinion leaders took Santorum’s side during the Schiavo debate. Suddenly, however, they seem to fear Santorum as a religious social engineer, so much so that they’re beginning to throw their weight behind a candidate who is both the architect of ObamaCare (and frankly, is unlikely to repeal it) and has ties to the Wall Street culture the left (and even some TEA Party types concerned with cronyism) has set-up as a caricature they will play a role in the 2012 elections.  I am not a social conservative — as Rachel herself seems to know. I am no less a classical liberal now than I’ve been all along. But from what I can tell, and I’ve been arguing this for a very long time now, dating back to my open disdain for the Trent Lotts of the GOP, the biggest danger to our foundational principles, outside of direct assault from the left, is a right that comes to power as the putative corrective, and then simply reinforces the ways of the establishment.
Think about it.
Update:   More Jeff Goldstein:
Gingrich’s (and Perry’s) attacks on Romney’s private equity work at Bain brought them jeers not just from Romney Republicans but from conservatives, as well. And so the organized attacks on Gingrich — and there’s no doubt from where they’re coming — shouldn’t be brushed aside as somehow “not surprising” and therefore palatable.
Update II:  Sister Toldjah
