Set in present day Sicily (or the near future). A virus that "mutates" (even though they supposedly have a vaccine) and kills off all adults but does not affect children, until they hit puberty. Lord of the Flies follows. Dystopian infection stories tend not to do well during the time of Covid (imagine that), but while overly creepy, is also actually pretty good in parts.
