Only an idiot would eat an oyster or any shellfish during Thailand's hot season
ReplyDeleteThe wife unit got a bit lazy (hot season) and ate at the roadside buffet late yesterday afternoon. She now has a real bad case of food poisoning. She has seen the local quack and will OK in a couple of days. I was drinking some beer with my food. So all I got was a bad case of the farts. LOL
BTW - Thanks for the linky stuff
GOODSTUFFs BLOGGING MAGAZINE (292nd Issue)
A young Stevie Nicks (the bohemian chick) graces this behemothic meta blog post! Moreover... "This groovy post is also rockin plenty of far out planetary science and heaps of nifty vintage stuff" - FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover
Does Thailand have anything but a hot season? I have been there in the winter and it is still pretty hot. I am sorry your wife is sick.
DeleteI have to admit, I never trusted Florida and Louisiana oysters (although I still eat them). I prefer mine from cold water, but since I like them I still eat them all summer.
For Thais Dec and Jan are cold - 20c
DeleteBTW - Thailand grows some great oysters and they are cheap - Beer and oysters at least once a week when in season
You missed the pub scene in "Tom Jones", but a nifty post.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, oysters are rich in zinc, in case you have to convince somebody.
PS Like the new look.
Thank you. Political Clown Parade made this banner for me. I will switch it out for mother's day but then it will be back.
DeleteAnd if you click on the link of "women eating oysters" in this post, there is a Tom Jones photo there.
