Frank Sinatra: Soliloquy

This was one of the songs on the Hollywood Bowl post the other day.  This is the song Billy Bigelow sings in Carousel after finding out he is going to be a father. This was recorded a few years after the birth of Frank Sinatra, Jr.  Mark Steyn, very appropriately, had it as a Father's Day song and #41 on his Sinatra Songs of the Century.

Pundette: And the Bell Goes... (with Mark's Sammy Cahn Podcast)
Bob Belvedere: Sinatra's Best 25 through 23 At Long Last Love, That's Life, Angel Eyes, and My Funny Valentine (a Rogers and Hart song like my last week's pick Blue Moon)
Mark Steyn: Learnin' the Blues and In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning

EBL: Sinatra at the Hollywood BowlMore Sinatra Moon Songs, Blue Moon, The Nearness of You, More Sinatra Summer, Things We Did Last Summer, and Sinatra at the Beach and Frank Sinatra and Kathryn Grayson: Time After Time
