Here are the nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Here is one member's picks. I like them all as actors (even if I have not seen two of the films). Beasts of the Southern Wild was disappointing, although Quvenzhané Wallis did a very good job in the main role in that movie. From what I saw, Jessica Chastain deserves the Oscar for her outstanding job in Zero Dark Thirty. I have not yet seen Silver Linings Playbook and Amour.
