No, not that Paul, the other other Paul. Ron Paul went on and on today on Hannity on how he would love to see
Paul Ryan as Veep. I agree with Dr. Paul on this. Paul Ryan could bring in tea partiers, Ron Paul supporters and others who are less than thrilled with Mitt Romney as the nominee in on the GOP side. And that would not only be for President, but down ticket as well. Forget about Chris Christie or Rob Portman. Romney needs to be anything but establishment on his Veep pick.
I disagree with this. If Paul Ryan would scare away moderates, why wouldn't Ron Paul do exactly the same? What people do not get is Paul Ryan can explain why his plan is needed and how to protect the elderly in implementing it.
I've wondered if Ron Paul's campaign is all about promoting Rand Paul.
ReplyDeleteHowever, for the US of A, Rand Paul out of the Senate is a very bad thing. As Veep, he's neutralized. And Kentucky gains a Dem as Senator.
Ron Paul is definitely about promoting Rand Paul...but Ron is pragmatic enough to know it is not yet Rand Paul's time. I am heartened that Ron Paul is promoting guys like Paul Ryan. I disagree with Ron Paul on national defense and foreign policy, but Ron Paul may end up bringing new people to the GOP and focusing it back on its fiscal conservative roots--which is a good thing.
