Kurt Schlicter makes a good point: Politically this decision may favor the GOP in the midterms. Kurt Schlicter is probably more correct on this than Karl Rove. I am pretty sure Trump going to the SCOTUS oral argument hearing a few months back was a calculated move, not so much to sway the Court, but to frame the argument the way he wanted. Trump has a way of turning a negative decision positive.
