The Leftists Took Over The Vatican

Pope Francis appointed 80% of the cardinals that voted for Pope Leo. Cardinals over 80 are barred from voting for a new Pope. That rule has been in place since the 1970s, but most of Francis' appointments to the College of Cardinals were left leaning progressives (not all, but a lot of them). That is why Cardinal Sarah did not make it, but Cardinal Prevost (Pope Leo) did.

Pope Benedict resigning getting forced out hurt Pope John Paul II's legacy.
