    Maybe I'm a snob, but opera is not meant to be sung in English .

    Italian, obviously . German, French, Russian, sure . Klingon, even . But it sounds horrible in English .

      I suppose you could say the same of German, yet they manage to pull it off. I agree, Italian sounds best. English is tough to work with.
