The whole business model of hiring high price "talent" for news reading really does not make sense. Not that many people look at news because of the personalities reading the news. I never understood why CNN (or for matter any news organization) gets hung up over paying many millions for "talent" for a service that could be provided by many other people for far less.
Why CNN rehired Brian Stelter after they fired him seems strange. Stelter is way less expensive than Cooper, but he is still reportedly getting a million dollars a year. Why?
