RENZI IN RUINS: Populism Prevails In Italy


DRUDGE REPORT: RENZI IN RUINS

The bonfire of the vanities started in Florence. While I am not saying the populist movements in Europe are the equivalent of what Girolamo Savonarola inspired (not even close), but Renzi should not be surprised he ended on the political pyre.

The Austrians had an election where the far right party lost today. But what this election shows is Italians are not happy with the direction of their country and want change.
