Reality: Jennifer Beals went to Yale, didn't actually dance in Flashdance (a guy did one of the dance scenes), promotes gay rights (not that there is anything wrong with that per se) because says she is a honorary lesbian because she played one on TV (which is consistent with the whole Flashdance dancing thing).
