Ted Cruz's Colorful Actress Amy Lindsay

I know why he made the call. Still, Amy Lindsay is not exactly a porn star--her more explicit movies were Cinemax R rated "Skin-e-Max"-- and she is supporting conservatives in the election, so I think he should have kept running the ad (she did not apparently falsely present her self).

Will it come up in the debate?

  1. I can see why he pulled it to, but its the one area I worry with Ted. Ted has some libertarian instincts, but he also has deep religious views. I am too, but I started getting past the concept that sex is anti-religious or for religious reasons shouldn't be talked about in public. I get Sodom & Gomorrah, but what this woman did on Cinemax and for Cruz's ad does not go against family values.

But many will say it anyways, so Cruz pulls the ad. I would prefer he attack the messenger rather than fear the hit. I think he fears the hit, because he is still courting the conservative religious vote. Perhaps he is doing this for the ground game and financial backing. Still, I don't see the religious voters running to Donald Trump, and why they tend to be more establishment, Ted can beat Rubio.

  2. Do you have her phone number? Now that Ted pulled the ad, I'm sure that her self-esteem took a hit and she may need to be consoled.

  3. Bad move on Cruz's part. Instead of demonstrating support for helping her move in a positive direction, he played into the judgmental prude stereotype of evangelicals. I think it's one of those intangibles that will color people's impression of him, and will not help with the 4% undecided voting bloc who determine our elections. Social issues are not high priority this election cycle, and Cruz would be wise not to bring them up. He'll get that demographic anyway.

    1. Agreed. She is also a conservative voter. This was actually a gift that he threw away.

  4. Trump would have kept her, flipping a finger to the Church Ladies.

    It's called leadership.

    1. It is also called not getting swayed or knocked off message by unexpected news.

  5. Then again the media is talking about Ted and not Trump for a change.

    1. True, but I think Cruz could have used this more to his advantage.
