A Tale of Two Cases of Discrimination: How do you distinguish these two cases?

Two Muslim drivers win $240,000 for refusing to deliver beer (and then knew this was the job before they applied)

So how to you distinguish cases like this from each other? The Muslim drivers' case (given they applied for a job in advance they knew involved delivering beer) is far weaker than independent bakeries, pizza parlors, or florists who do not want to participate in same sex marriages after the law changes.  What if these Muslim drivers had to deliver party supplies to a gay wedding, could they refuse to do that too?
