World's Largest Aircraft: The Airlander

April 30 (Bloomberg) –- Meet the Airlander. The super blimp has a top speed of 100 miles per hour, can carry 50 tons of equipment and operate in the most extreme weather. Part plane, airship, helicopter, and hovercraft, the U.S. Army spent $300 million to develop Airlander as a floating spy center. Now, a British company is giving the flying machine a new life.
