WaPo: Shinseki resigns
It is unforgivable to cause embarrassment for the Emperor: Probation for Shinseki was rather short... |
The problems at the Veterans Administration are all not Secretary Eric Shinseki's fault. The overall problem is far bigger than that and the responsibility rests (mostly) with President Obama because he made it a point when he ran in 2008 that this was going to be a focus of his administration (and he failed). The VA was to be the leader in health care reform.
So what is in store for the rest of the County with ObamaCare?
Update:
Wombat Socho: Shinseki Resigns? This changes everything…
He should never have been appointed.
ReplyDeleteHis tenure as Army CoS was just as bad.
Shinseki: "[S]omething in the order of several hundred thousand" bureaucrats would be necessary to stabilize the VA. Uh, we already have that? Uh, maybe several hundred MORE thousand?
ReplyDeleteObama: Maybe one LESS bureaucrat.
An American Public if it had any damned sense (which it doesn't): Maybe TWO less.
