Just think of it this way and it all makes sense: Republican Party leaders don't give a damn about teh future of their party, but only about their own individual futures. So if selling out the party, or the country, long-term gives them benefits (in terms of donations and future lucrative job popportunities) they will sell out the rest of us in a heart-beat.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's the main difference between the Reps and the Dems. The Dems care about establishing their party as a one party permanent ruling class, so they can do to the country what the Communists did to Russian, China, Cuba, etc. Republican party officials are just greedy little shits - Democratic party officials are greedy little shits with a vision.
