I call bullshit. I saw no images of anything even remotely resembling a Hammerhead Shark...even the underwater one he allegedly took. I speak as a guy who in 1961, with help from another inebriated soul, dragged a large live Hammerhead from the surf in Fort Lauderdale and placed it in the Jolly Roger Motel swimming pool. Girls on balconies clapped wildly...guys in the pool at the time, not so much. Great days those were...
The first video link I had looked like a hammerhead, but it was hard to tell. But for some reason youtube pulled that one so I replaced it with the Taiwanese computer narrated version. There are other videos with ads that are out there too. Having seen hammerheads fishing in Florida (and a few times in Montauk, NY), it is not like they are that uncommon (although an 11 footer is a decent size fish).
I had a Nantucket sleigh ride with a big blue fin once, and that was on a boat a lot bigger than a kayak. A small shark could pull a kayak pretty easily.
We were idiot college kids...shark didn't last 30 minutes IIRC. Water was highly chlorinated. I felt bad later then, and now.
I have this rule about salt water...I don't swim in it because I figure God made fresh water and swimming pools for people. My last ocean dip was in the Yellow Sea. Bull Sharks are of course demon spawn, surviving nicely in either salt or fresh water.
Catch a shark and you're sittin' on top o' the world....

Nice pool story. Was it chlorinated or salt water? How long did the shark make it?

The next time I see the words "Spring break" here, young lady, I expect to see "Rule Five" right next to it!
