Russell Johnson aka "The Professor" RIP

Russell Johnson RIP
Russell Johnson was more of an actor than what he played on Gilligan's Island (he did both film and television character actor work), but that is the role as "the Professor" that we mostly know him for.  Mr. Johnson was also a WWII veteran who earned a purple heart.  RIP.

      Well he could be his father. Maybe Maryanne is his mom.

    He first became a familiar face on "Black Saddle" back in the 50s, co-starring with Peter Breck.
