Marines sent in to assist the Philippines

This would not be the first time for this...
U.S. Marines from the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade on two KC-130J Super Hercules aircraft arrive at Villamor Air Base, in Pasay city, metro Manila on Sunday. A team of about 90 U.S. Marines and sailors headed to the Philippines on Sunday, part of a first wave of promised U.S. military assistance for relief efforts after a devastating typhoon killed at least 10,000 people.

Aid is critical to save lives (safe water, medical aid, food)

Update:
Conditions are bad in Tacloban.
TOM: The politics of weather... Katrinia, Sandy and Haiyan had nothing to do with "global climate change" and everything to do with geography, tide tables, coastal development and bad luck.

  1. One reason why the old Marine divisions may be on their way out.
