[President Barack Obama's] so furious, in fact, that he stepped out of character to vent to an assembled group of top aides. “If I had known [about the website problems] ,” the steaming president reportedly said, according to the New York Times, “We could have delayed the website.”
All of which begs the real question: how could he not have known?
It’s a real head-scratcher. Most powerful man in the free world. Most important issue. Most politically explosive, particularly coming on the heels of the government shutdown. Consider the context: Republicans had just tried to defund Obamacare, and they lost in a heap of public humiliation. So the rollout of Obamacare had to be really impressive, because the Republicans had to be proven wrong.
Then again, other Democrats knew that things would not work out... So did the President lie or his the President just incompetent? Or both?
And when will Democrats start calling for Obamacare's repeal?
Update:
And Delusional Debbie Wasserman still claims Democrat candidates will run on Obamacare next year.
A devastating poll for Obama and Obamacare... (yeah Debbie, run on that)
Why Obamacare should be scaring the crap out of Democrats...

The president lied to advance a socialist agenda that captured 20% of the US economy. That it backfired speaks to incompetence.
ReplyDelete(Godwin Alert) didn't know about Auschwitz. either.
ReplyDeleteThe worse is yet to come in Obamacare. We all know that the employer mandate will cause even more Americans to lose coverage, and they'll get that "never could have imagined" truth a month before the Congressional elections. In the interim, Obama's promise to change written IRS law without going through Congress will go into effect, and thus the civil lawsuits can be filed and tried in federal court. So far, I've only covered the good news.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news is that millions have lost insurance. A good percentage of those people will need healthcare and not be able to afford it. Fortunately for them, emergent medical conditions cannot be denied and must be treated regardless of ability to pay. Unfortunately for hospitals, student loan debt must be repaid regardless of bankruptcy, but medical bills can be ignored. This will become an epidemic to the actual healthcare providers; the doctors and nurses vs the false providers known as insurers. Throw in the doctors and hospitals being removed from various Obamacare plans, and healthcare providers will start facing the economics of Obamacare. Hospitals were already predicting losses in revenue, but they were predicting more insured patients. Insurers notoriously pay less than the dollar value (hence the artificially inflated prices), but they pay something.
So Debbie, please run on Obamacare. Demand your fellow Democrats run on it.
In fairness, Obama does seem to have created a shitload of jobs for website designers.
