Suspended and punished for doing the right thing... |
Murphy said the school district compounded its own injustice toward a kid when its attorney, Geoffrey Bok, said in court that Cox was arrested at the party. She was not.
“That a school would then lie to a judge in a court of law is an outrage and shows the length some school officials will go to to retaliate against a family that dares to challenge an irrational zero tolerance policy,” Murphy said in a statement.

We are talking about the People's Republic, after all.
ReplyDeleteAnd even worse, the head of MADD is supporting the school.
ReplyDeleteNot because of what they did, but because of why they did it. She thinks zero tolerance policies are the bees knees the stupid cow.
They're getting some push back on the MADD blog though.
No good deed goes unpunished. This is what a totalitarian state looks like. MADD just lost all credibility at this point.
ReplyDeleteWhat's even worse is the chilling message that if you help a friend out and you go to the same school you will be punished for something. This type of behavior on the part of school officials is what I call steamroller syndrome. They know they fucked up, but it's too late now to admit it, so they will steamroll this thing all the way through because not one of these dumb motherfuckers is smart enough to stand up and say, "Sorry, our bad." and end it right there and make it right with the people involved.
