So they can put their pro al Qaeda Wahhabist Salafist allies in power there, and give the finger to Iran and their Hezbollah allies.

We are not interested in competing with that. We can cooperate in this area,” he said, purporting to speak with the full backing of the US.

And beyond helping putting in a worse regime that was there, we can pay more for gasoline and fuel.  I guess this is what President Obama calls a win win.

What we need to be doing is encouraging more drilling and more energy conservation.  The Saudis are not our friends.
