Compare SSG Carter, a veteran of more than one combat deployment, wearing the 2nd ID patch on his duty shoulder (left) and the 4th ID patch on his combat record shoulder (right) .... to the excrement named Kimathi or Bieier [SPIT!]. Who would you trust with your back?
What amazes me today is the amount of useful hardware and additional gear all these guys carry with them. Just look at the helmet alone. In my day I might have had a small bottle of bug juice strapped to a soft boonie hat, that's it. And I don't amaze easily...but these guys impress me because all that added gear adds weight and you have to hump that weight.
That's what the Medal of Honor is for.
ReplyDeleteAnother soldier also won it for the same engagement and one other got the Silver Star.

ReplyDeleteTo ask the question is to answer it.
DeleteYou are comparing a giant to two miserable ticks. They are only significant because they potentially carry disease.
