Selective Media Outrage...

Black youths in Maryland beat a Hispanic man yelling "This is for Trayvon."  Heck of a job Democrats and Media, heck of a job.

And of course there is selective outrage for black on white crime too:
Why isn't Nancy Grace going nuts over this case?
Here is the good news:
An estimated 16,400 people were murdered in the United States in 2005, down from a peak of 21,400 a decade ago. Similarly, the number of black people slain dropped over the last 10 years, from 10,400 in 1995 to almost 8,000 in 2005.
Here is the bad news:

49% of murder victims in America are black men.  A very out of proportion number, given the black population of America is about 13%.  But 93% of those black men murdered are murdered by other black men.  "A majority of the black murder victims were relatively young — between 17 and 29."

So all this outrage about Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman is nonsense (not that it was not serious, but it was just one case).  That is ignoring the real underlying problem. And guns, while the weapon of choice, are not the ultimate cause of the problem either (there has always been a lot of guns in America).  The fundamental problem is lack of male role models and father figures in the black community (which is also a problem, albeit to a lesser extent, in other racial groups, including whites).

And as raised as a question at TOM, did Trayvon Martin's upbringing contribute to his death?

Update:
TOM: Heretical facts and Trayvon Martin...

  1. I'm wondering if this kind of mob action is the new race riot.

Not hundreds or thousands in the streets, but these little actions committed out of nothing but racism.

And are we at the point in this country where the race problem has become black, and not white, racism?

  2. What's worse is how easily manipulated people have become. The government and the complicit media are able to stir up riots, violence and demonstration just by saying or printing a few obvious lies. And people who have been taught to believe that they are perpetual victims react just as the politicians or media stooges hope they will. It's a horrible form of being on the plantation, and liberals do it to other liberals.

Good point and the same one "Fen" tried to make elsewhere....where some fool kept switching the discussion to black/white and white/black...no recognition of black/black. There is a reason the hustlers, politicians, and media folks ignore it...there is no money in it, no political influence to be had or peddle. The activist elites and hustlers don't want to acknowledge what their own low [and fundamentally false] expectations are in the matter. It is very similar to the thinking of the planter aristocracy in the ante-bellum south. These hustlers are the "Sonderkommandos" of their time.

  4. This is all the product of leftism. All of it. Michael, the easy manipulation is because of leftism. This ideology does not allow free, independent thought, but rather it produces mindless, emotional tools to be used as human shields for the cause. Rachel Jeantel is a perfect example of that usage. Facts do not matter, free thought on the differences between right or wrong do not matter, only the narrative matters. Only the lies that are peddled matter. If it doesn't go their way, what happens? Well, you are seeing it now. If you want a juxtaposition on the differences between conservativism vs. leftism, look at the reaction by conservatives when Urkelcare became law. Conservatives gnashes and complained, but you saw zero violence, no death threats (that I'm aware of), but rather peaceful and generally private opposition to it. You didn't even see protests in the streets afterwards.

Now, look at something like the Zimmerman acquittal and the reactions by the left to it. What more do you need to know. The ideology speaks for itself. As I've said before. I'll take the worst that conservativism has to offer over the best leftism has to offer any day. This is a perfect example of the rot that leftism creates and it's leftism that will be the downfall of us all if it isn't stopped.

  5. Shit! In trying to view a profile of EBL I stupidly hit the "hang out" button...I do NOT like Google+ [useless vague POS]... It is one more data collection tool and I've had enough of those, as I used to administer them and run them for Dept of the Army. I even shut down my Facebook account [too many names I don't want to re-meet popping up] to "all private" then purposely tried to sign in 3 times with a false password...perfecto!...it's locked up. Anyone wants to contract me, my email is in my Blogger profile. No need getting nekid in public, so to speak.

Anyway, EBL...I like your site, but I'm not trying to get all up in your business.
