Howard Gutman, an Obama Ambassador (and major donor) accused of soliciting prostitutes (including minors) and the State Department quashed the investigation?

Yesterday, CBS News published documents that showed the State Department had quashed or obstructed Inspector General investigations into serious wrongdoing by high-ranking officials, including one Ambassador who ditched his security team to importune prostitutes in public parks. Today, that story gets more sordid in NBC’s follow-up, which shows that investigators suspected the same Ambassador of targeting minor children...
U.S. Ambassador And Obama Donor Howard Gutman
A damning internal memo claims the State Department called off an investigation into allegations that U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman repeatedly trawled overseas public parks in search of prostitutes, including minors.
Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy ordered the investigation closed shortly after it was opened, according to the memo, which was written by the State Department's Inspector General. Gutman, who has not been charged with any crimes, said the allegations are 'baseless.'
The Ambassador denies it.  If any of this is true, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama might have some explaining to do.

  1. A public park with a bad reputation is no place for an ambassador alone in the middle of the night. He admitted going there regularly.
