Washington State lights up...what will the federal government do?

Marijuana possession became legal today in Washington State.

The Seattle Police gave this statement:
Does this mean you should flagrantly roll up a mega-spliff and light up in the middle of the street? No. If you’re smoking pot in public, officers will be giving helpful reminders to folks about the rules and regulations under I-502 (like not smoking pot in public). But the police department believes that, under state law, you may responsibly get baked, order some pizzas and enjoy a Lord of the Rings marathon in the privacy of your own home, if you want to.
This is an interesting test of federalism.  Whether you agree with the law or not (and it did pass with Washington State voters), will the Federal Government respect the law in Washington or try to impose its own will?

Update:  Will the Obama administration respect the voters of Washington and Colorado?  While Barack "Chumba gang" Obama loved smoking marijuana, we know he hates the 10th Amendment.

h/t to The Agitator on the SPD statement!
Obama:  No change on the war on drugs, so the Feds can and will still come after you...
