Graphene: I haven't had this much fun since Bucky Balls

Daily Pundit had a post on how graphene may improve ocean water desalination
by a factors of 100 or greater...
 (maybe 1000x faster)
That sort of improvement makes drinking water far more accessible to the rest of the world (Africa and the Middle East come immediately to mind) and is approaching levels where some agriculture could be made available by desalination.   And that is just the start of it.   Graphene, which is essentially graphite, is a one atom think foil of carbon which would appear like chicken wire in its chemical bonding.  The material has some very unusual and exciting properties, most notable being its incredible strength.

How graphene works.

Oh, and in case you forgot:
Bucky Balls, also known as Buckminsterfullerene
Update:
As predicted:  Faster, please!
