An Obama Kenya Birther story: From Obama's own literary agent!

The booklet, which was distributed to "business colleagues" in the publishing industry, includes a brief biography of Obama among the biographies of eighty-nine other authors represented by Acton & Dystel.
It also promotes Obama's anticipated first book, Journeys in Black and White--which Obama abandoned, later publishing Dreams from My Father instead.
Obama’s biography in the booklet [above].

Update:  The real message of the Obama born in Kenya bio...
Breitbart has more.  Oh my.  This came from Obama's own agents.  I am sure they will claim it was a mistake, but it is a hell of a mistake.  Somewhere Andrew Breitbart is smiling.  Here is the statement from Joel Pollak at Breitbart:
Note from Senior Management:
Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.
Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him.
It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.
It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law ReviewIt is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times.
I denounce Barack Obama's literary agent for spreading this vile rumor about Barack Obama's birth!  But it is quite entertaining too!

JWF makes a good point here.  The sad part is he probably will do so.

In a way, it’s kind of sad to see what the right wing blogosphere has turned into. But also kind of hilarious.
Remember when Andrew Breitbart used to beg conservatives not to indulge the Birther conspiracy theory? (While, at the same time, appearing at speaking events with well-known Birthers?)
Well, with Andrew gone, the mini-Breitbarts who’ve turned his site from a propaganda machine into a laughingstock are no longer worried about that.
Possibly the dumbest right wing article you’ll read today, from Breitbart.com’s Joel Pollak: The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama’s Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: ‘Born in Kenya and Raised in Indonesia and Hawaii’.

    Obama’s Lawyer Admits Birth Certificate is FAKE, & Birthers target Mitt Romney
    http://trenchpress.com/?p=10781

    Which would explain why the GOP does not want to go after the birther issue since Romney is in the same boat as Obama.

    The issue is not if Obama was born but as the Judge said if he is a natural born.
    "A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN is one who is born in the country that both parents are and your parents must BOTH BE CITIZENS."

    OOOPS??

    1. I do not want to argue the birther issue on the merits. I am not a birther. I think the current law is clear (regardless if you think it right or wrong) that if you are born here and are not the child of a diplomat, you are treated as an American Citizen (regardless of the citizenship of your parents). And we know Barack Obama's mother was a citizen. I am still pretty sure he was born in Hawaii.

      The issue here is how Obama plays fast and loose with the truth. And given this, it is certainly not crazy to argue the birther issue. If Barack Obama's own literary agent is doing so. Did the agent make a mistake, or was the agent given this information from Barack Obama?

    2. How about he was fraudulently trying to get financial aid as a foreign born student? I just want to see his school records.

      Sorry, Slick, the highest law in the land mandates the prez be a Natural Born citizen. Merely being a citizen, merely being born here does not qualify.

      Bozo does not qualify even under his own definition...

      110th CONGRESS
      2d Session
      S. RES. 511
      Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.
      IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES
      April 10, 2008
      Mrs. MCCASKILL (for herself, Mr. LEAHY, Mr. OBAMA, Mr. COBURN, Mrs. CLINTON, and Mr. WEBB) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary
      April 24, 2008
      Reported by Mr. LEAHY, without amendment
      April 30, 2008
      Considered and agreed to
      ________________________________________
      RESOLUTION
      Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.
      Whereas the Constitution of the United States requires that, to be eligible for the Office of the President, a person must be a `natural born Citizen' of the United States;
      Whereas the term `natural born Citizen', as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, is not defined in the Constitution of the United States;
      Whereas there is no evidence of the intention of the Framers or any Congress to limit the constitutional rights of children born to Americans serving in the military nor to prevent those children from serving as their country's President;
      Whereas such limitations would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the `natural born Citizen' clause of the Constitution of the United States, as evidenced by the First Congress's own statute defining the term `natural born Citizen';
      Whereas the well-being of all citizens of the United States is preserved and enhanced by the men and women who are assigned to serve our country outside of our national borders;
      Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President; and
      Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it
      Resolved, That John Sidney McCain, III, is a `natural born Citizen' under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.

    4. Slick? So McCain got Congress to declare him a natural born citizen because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone? I think that was a given since in the 1930s it was absolutely U.S. territory and was born to U.S. Citizen parents.

      The problem is once a President is sworn in there is one constitutional way to remove them: via impeachment. Or voting them out. The later seems like a better and easier bet. I trust the voters more than I trust Congress.
